It is seriously beginning to look like the tail end of Summer festivals are nothing but total dross. After the disappointment of V I was actually really looking forward to Get Loaded in the Park - I had a big group of friends going, the weather reports were looking positive and I had just been paid. Alas it was not to be...
After arriving just in time for the Digitalism set I was pretty gutted to find the sound so quiet - I could quite comfortably here the security guards talking to each other on their walkie talkies over the barrier from me. It has to be said watching an amazing artist like Digitalism who has the most blinding songs ever (see my review from Benicassim) at 2pm in the afternoon just plain sucks. It’s not right.
However, onwards and upwards I still had M.I.A, DJ Yoda, Dizzee Rascal, Dirty Pretty Things and The Streets to look forward to. Well I would have done if I could have heard anything...guys sort the flipping sound out for next year! People paid nigh on £40 for those tickets and they weren't worth a fiver. I’m not even going to bother to review the artists above because to be honest it isn't fair on them.
Verdict? Must try much, much harder
