Trent Reznor Keeps his Word

After promising to market direct to his fans once his contract had expired at Interscope, Trent Reznor has kept his word…

Following the news of Radiohead and their direct-to-consumer offering late last month Trent has announced he will be going it alone, "As of right now, Nine Inch Nails is a totally free agent, free of any recording contract with any label," Reznor blogged. "It gives me great pleasure to be able to finally have a direct relationship with the audience as I see fit and appropriate."

Reznor promised to reveal more details, and pointed to an initiative next year. Other big-name artists are also considering direct-to-consumer plays, including Oasis and Jamiroquai.

What do you guys think of this? Answer my poll on the right!
